Koan has been working with its non-executive director, Lord Thomas, to promote his memoirs – An Inclusive Community with Integrity.
Lord Thomas spent nine years as managing director of the Co-operative Bank and was responsible for introducing customer-led ethics and making the brand what it is today.
In his book, Lord Thomas recounts his exceptional and successful career in banking. Among his many achievements is the introduction of the bank’s ethical code – a bold step and what that received much criticism at the time from his peers and the banking community. Lord Thomas challenged the view that good business practice does not mix with ethics.
Also covered in the book, are his experiences of becoming President of the International Co-operative Banking Association and as his role as founding Chairman of the Northwest Development Agency.
Koan was tasked with organising the Manchester launch of the book, generating media coverage and securing book reviews.
Copies of the book can be bought direct from The Memoir Club.
